Getting The Mail Delivered - Products

Yesterday I covered some services you could use to maintain your list. Today I'm going to go over a few products you can download and install on your own servers so you can maintain and keep control of your own lists.

As on the services side, there are free and there are commercial products.

On the free side you can use:

  • PhpList - You can use the default version or you can use my customized version: Unique Article Marketing. Either version doesn't have autoreponder capability, just a blast functionality, but it is very powerful and allows you to regulate your send speeds.
  • Infinite Responder - An open source product that's been around for a few years.
  • SellWide Autoresponder - After signing up to this site, you can download the free autoreponder product.

The commercial side:

  • AutoResponse Plus - I've heard good things about this program. Some top marketers use it.
  • Php Autoresponder - At $29.95 it's pretty cheap and you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck.
  • Media AutoResponder - I say this is a commercial product, but if you follow the link you can get it for 1 cent with Resale Rights and source code. I've never used it, so I would play around with it for a while before launching it with your own list.
  • AutoResponder Unlimited - This link is to the lowest cost version I could find. It's sold with Resale rights, so you might be able to find it for less elsewhere.

If you're looking to keep complete control over your whole list and don't like some of the limitations imposed by the services, I recommend going with one of the package above.

If you use any other packages for your email followups, let me know in the comments!
