Opt In Test Results

Last month I set up a simple split test in AWeber for my blog to determine what was converting better.

In each popup I offer Terry Dean's "10 Key Strategies to Earn More, Work Less & Enjoy Life!". The verbiage of the offer is different though. Here is the verbiage that was being tested.

  1. Sign Up for Blog Post Announcements Delivered Directly to Your Email and Receive "10 Key Strategies to Earn More, Work Less & Enjoy Life!" Immediately…
  2. Join the Steven Lohrenz Blog Announcement List and Receive "10 Key Strategies to Earn More, Work Less & Enjoy Life!" Immediately…

The opt-in rates were as follows:

  1. 3.2%
  2. 1.2%

If my math is correct, number 1 is a 260+% improvement over my old popup. If I had left it and didn't start testing, I would never have found out that I could get higher percentages. Testing is essential to your business. Everything deserves to be tested. Now that I have that result, I have created variations on that first phrase and am testing those against the baseline. What will be the result? I'll let you know in a month or so…

Interesting that the first headline scores 211 in Glyphius and the second one scores 153.

I suppose, I can't say that I've been all that impressed with Glyphius. Very often lower, much lower scoring headlines have won or are winning for me.
